In Support of HB 6122

Thank you for your consideration of the proposed improvements to the RI Works Program through H-6122. NASW-RI Chapter is in strong support of the three changes to the RI Works program proposed in H-6122 (Section 5 of Article 13 in the Governor’s budget). We commend Governor McKee for his efforts to support Rhode Island families that are experiencing economic insecurity.

In Support of H-5683 RI Works Program

The National Association of Social Workers - RI Chapter (NASW-RI) wholeheartedly supports H-5683 as well as Article 13 Section 5 as the changes will begin to lift children and families out of deep poverty. We thank Representative Handy and the other sponsors who understand that by improving the benefits families participating in the RI Works program receive, we will strengthen our most vulnerable families' well-being and stability.
