This conference will address cutting-edge ethical issues facing school social workers in the digital age. Practitioners’ and students’ use of remote service delivery technology, social media, social networking sites, cloud storage, and other technologies, has broadened ethical challenges in school social work. Dr. Frederic Reamer will explore novel ethical, malpractice, and risk-management issues pertaining to school social work and the delivery of services to children and their families. He will also discuss longstanding ethical issues in school social work. Using extensive case material, participants will learn how to handle complex practice-based ethical dilemmas, prevent professional malpractice, and avoid liability. Emphasis will be on practical strategies designed to protect children, professionals, and other school personnel and administrators.

With Dr. Frederic Reamer, on Friday, November 6, 2020 | 8:00-11:30am | 3 CEs
